ABOUT THE CAMP

2009 Dates: June 19 to June 25
Phone During Camp
(530) 595-9906 or (530) 595-9909

Beautiful Mt. Lassen Campground is located on the edge of Mt. Lassen National Park, near the town of Mineral, California. Nestled under stately pines, the camp borders a lovely meadow with a freshwater mountain stream. Thanks to the 5,000-foot elevation, the days are comfortable and the nights are cool to cold. Hiking, playing in the creek and fishing add to the pleasure of the camping experience. The majority of the camp program takes place outdoors.

Arrival and Departure Times
Register after 2:00PM on Sunday, June 19. First camp meeting
is Sunday dinner at 6 PM.
Camp ends at 11AM on Saturday, June 25.

WHAT TO BRING
Sports clothes, low-heel walking shoes, warm clothes for evenings, sleeping bag (many people also like a single fitted sheet or mattress pad to cover the plastic mattress), pillow, towels, extra blanket, swimsuit, swimsuit and watershoes for wading, inspirational reading such as the Bible, writing materials, flashlight, umbrella, mosquito repellent, snow clothes (if going to the mountain), and softball glove. Sorry, no pets.

DIRECTIONS

Take I-5 to Red Bluff. Exit Hwy. 99 East. Turn left, go 3 miles, then turn left on Hwy. 36. Continue for about 37 miles. After crossing Battle Creek and just past the Battle Creek Campground, turn right. Follow the little dirt road over the creek again, about a half mile to the Mount Lassen Assembly of God Conference Grounds. We are grateful to the Assembly of God Conference Ground, for even though we are non-denominational, and not affiliated, they have generously hosted our Mt. Lassen JFO camp for the last 30 years.
